Cybersecurity is a very relevant topic for any size village, town or city. As PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) is on its way out, existing systems need to migrate to an IP connection. When connecting systems and allowing remote access, cybersecurity needs to be considered as an important part of the solution. An upward trend on cybersecurity threats is noticed in the past period where many employees were working from home. This trend is likely to continue as hybrid and flexible working solutions become the new normal. Attacks on network infrastructure occur increasingly frequently and municipalities are unfortunately no exception.
Cybersecurity is part of the process of every Aritech product development. Our total system architecture has encryption levels in every link of the solution.
From the initial idea, first proof of concept, development, field trials to the final product and during the lifecycle of the product, the aspect of cybersecurity is an integral factor that is backed-up by internal and external penetration testing.
Encryption levels are built in from the credential to the reader, from the reader to the door controller, from the door controller to the panel, from the panel to the central station, remote management of service software, App, covering all links in the system. With this level of cybersecurity built-in, Aritech obtained with the Advisor Advanced system, the UltraSync communication, its remote software and the Mobile App, the highest Triple Shield certification at CNPP NFA2P.
